Drive sales for specific products with Product Boost campaigns (beta)

Product Boost campaigns help you drive sales of specific products by offering limited-time commission increases. With Product Boost, you can fully customize your campaigns by choosing the:

      • Duration and budget

      • Eligible partners

      • Specific products to boost (by category, SKU, or brand)

Best of all, these campaigns use SKU-level attribution, meaning that commission rates are automatically boosted without requiring partners to opt in or swap links. This removes manual friction from the process and allows partners to start promoting immediately.

If you would like early beta access to Product Boost, please reach out to your CSM or our support team.

Ensuring fair attribution: New Stand-Down policy for software-based publishers

In this release, we are rolling out a new Stand-Down policy that dictates how browser plug-ins and software behave when other affiliates or creators are already present in the consumer journey. You can read the policy here. This policy is designed to ensure fair and accurate attribution and applies to every brand and partnership on the impact.com platform.

When a browser plug-in or software application sees this parameter, they will know to stand down and not activate their services to the consumer. The stand-down period lasts for 30 minutes or until the browser session ends. Publishers using this type of software must be approved by impact.com and follow additional requirements to ensure full transparency and user consent.

We are also adding an all-new capability to help affiliates and creators signal browser plug-ins and other software to stand down and not claim credit for a referral. Now, when a shopper clicks on a tracking link, impact.com will automatically append the parameter “afsrc=1”. This is done during the redirect, which means that even existing links will get this parameter appended and your partners will not need to append the parameter manually.

While many of our brands already have their own Stand-Down policies in place, we believe that implementing a standardized policy will improve transparency and accountability and create stronger affiliate partnerships overall. We will be rolling out the Stand-Down policy the week of October 20th, and it will be enabled by default for all programs. You will have the option to disable this policy globally, via Tracking Settings.

      ask impact keeps getting smarter

Our AI assistant is leveling up, and this release brings significant enhancements to how customers explore insights, receive recommendations, and interact with AI inside impact.com.

      • Smarter Partner Recommendations: Finding the right partners just got sharper. Users can now filter recommendations by country, vertical, and promotional method, making discovery faster and more relevant.

      • Similar Partner Recommendations: Really liked working with a certain partner? Take it a step further by requesting similar partners, and ask impact will return even more results to get stuck into. Try it by asking “Recommend partners similar to XYZ”, then sit back and check out the results.

      • Linking out from Partner Recommendations: Curious to know more about a recommended partner? Navigate to partner marketplace profiles directly from the chat.

      • Newsletter Generation: Turn insights into action with automated newsletter creation. ask impact can now help draft concise, data-backed summaries perfect for stakeholder updates or partner communications. Spend less time writing, more time optimizing.

      • Improved Error Handling for Competitor Queries: We’ve trained ask impact to recognize when a query crosses competitive boundaries and respond with clearer, safer guidance. It keeps interactions smart, compliant, and helpful.

Each enhancement brings us closer to our vision for ask impact: a strategic partner that thinks with you.

New in the Partner Integrations Hub: Tangoo

Our Partner Integrations Hub (beta) makes it easy to connect with top tech partners, without having to add any new JavaScript tags to your site. With this release, we’ve added an integration with Tangoo, a dynamic ad placement platform that helps drive incremental revenue through high-performing native and editorial-style placements across premium publisher sites.

Rearrange your Application Workflows to ensure they behave as you intend

If you’ve got a lot of partners applying to join your program, Application Workflows are an incredibly powerful way to process those applications without actually spending much time processing applications.

Each Workflow looks for one or more criteria (such as “Business Model = Social Influencer” and “Subscriber Count > 10,000”) and then takes an action (such as “Accept Application”). If you’ve got some Workflows that accept applications and some that reject them, then some applications might be processed differently depending on the order in which those Workflows run.

For instance, if you auto-reject partners from a certain country, and auto-approve partners with a certain promotional model, what happens when a partner is from that country, but also has that promotional model? It all depends on which Workflow runs first.

With this release, we have added the ability to reorder your Workflows, so that you can fully control the order in which they’re applied. From the new Application tab of the Workflow screen screen, click “Reorder Workflows.” then drag and drop until you’ve got them where you want them. Along with this change, we’ve introduced a new default sort order called, descriptively, “Order”.

Note: This update only applies to Application Workflows — not Email Workflows.

      Save time by duplicating Workflows

Speaking of Workflows, want to set one up and don’t want to start from scratch? Good news: you don’t have to — you can now duplicate any of your existing Email or Application Workflows. Just hover over the Workflow you want to copy, click the triple dot icon, and select “Duplicate”.

Your cloned Workflow will be added to the list, and you can select “Edit” to adjust it as needed. Note: your new Workflows will not be immediately activated. Email workflow copies will save as “Draft” and Application Workflow copies will save as “Paused”.

Coming soon: Unlock richer website analytics with “Learn More”

We will soon expand our Website property insights to give you a deeper, more actionable view of their web partners. You’ll now see a “Learn More” option on website profiles, providing richer visibility into key performance metrics, including global rank, monthly visitors, spam score, domain authority, and more. When you click “Learn More” (or any website metric), you’ll be able to:

      • Explore additional context behind each metric, including definitions and tooltips for clarity.

      • Access deeper traffic breakdowns, including organic vs. paid traffic.

      • Understand audience geography and engagement at a glance.

      • Visit Semrush directly for an even more comprehensive analysis of the website’s performance (free Semrush account required).

This update helps brands make smarter, data-driven decisions about partners. You can now evaluate a website with the same level of insight previously available only for social profiles, giving you greater confidence in where to invest and who to collaborate with.

Miss me with those malware clicks

Joan Jett may not care about a bad reputation, but we do — specifically, domain reputation. One of the ways we ensure clean data and keep fraud at bay is by scanning all the traffic that comes through our system and filtering out the (to use a technical term) sketchy clicks. And one of the ways we identify those bad clicks is by checking the reputation of the domain that sent that click.

We are now filtering out clicks that come from a referring domain that has previously been flagged for malware. We still see the click, but we exclude it from reporting and it can’t be used to claim credit for a conversion.

Malware is just the latest addition to our global filter list — joining known bots and crawlers, as well as image (or “stuffed”) clicks. You can learn more about the types of clicks that we filter or flag in this help article.

The Scheduled Dates field will now be included when you export promo codes to CSV

Previously, the promo codes’ Scheduled Dates were not included as columns when you exported your promo codes to a CSV. Now they are! Note: you must select at least one row in order to see the download button.

Coming soon: Upgraded screens for BOGO Deals and Image Assets

Faithful readers will remember that we have been steadily revamping our Asset (formerly known as Ad) and Deal pages, including:

We’re continuing that trend in this release, with new screens to create and edit BOGO Deals and Image Assets. As before, these will come along a bit after the main release — you’ll see the updated versions in about a week.

Bulk asset uploads will soon support partial updates

Previously, if you wanted to update your assets in bulk, you basically had to re-upload everything. If you left a field blank, our system would assume that you wanted to remove that bit. As a result, you had to include all the required information — including image files — even if you just wanted to change the asset name.

That was kind of a hassle. So we have redesigned that system and it now supports partial updates. To achieve this, we are introducing an “Operation” column to the CSV, where you can specify what you want to do in that row. If you select the Update operation, our system will interpret an empty cell as meaning that no update is needed. If you select the Update operation and want to actually clear a cell, you'll be able to do so by writing “$CLEAR$ in that cell.

Alongside this update, we will add the ability to delete assets (as long as they have not been published or made available to partners. Previously this could not be done via bulk upload – only one-at-a-time in the UI.

This update will go live in a few days. Keep an eye out for it!

PS: We’re also fixing the CSV output when you export Assets. It now matches the file format required for a bulk Asset upload.

See which contacts have Campaign Terms in the List Contracts API

To help you see which of your contracts contain Contract Terms, we’ve added a new flag to the List Contract API response. You can now see HasCampaignTerms: true or false.

Heads up: We are sunsetting legacy API tokens

Security standards have evolved. Long-lived, all access tokens needed an upgrade to suit modern security standards, so we’re transitioning to Scoped API Tokens, a more secure and manageable way to control access. Here are some of the key dates and info you need to know:

      • October 2025: New tokens will only support the latest API versions

      • March 2026: Scoped Tokens will be required for all new integrations or credential resets.

      • Existing integrations using legacy tokens will continue to work without disruption.

Your Finances Just Got a Boost

Say hello to our latest upgrades in the Finance section! We've dropped two enhancements to give you greater visibility and more control over your funds and billing.

Balance Forecast Graph: Proactive Funding Management

We're bringing back a fan-favorite visual tool to the central screen, making sure your funding never misses a beat.

      • This optional graph lives right on the Finance Overview screen for each of your funding accounts. Why? We moved it from the old, since-retired Make Deposit screen to keep all your critical funding info in one place.

      • It’s a 45-day time series graph that gives you a glimpse into the future. It’s created to visually pinpoint exactly when your account is projected to run out of funds based on your current balance and known future transactions.

      • What this means is that you can plan top-ups early and keep those essential partner relationships running smoothly.

Invoicing Method Visibility: Enhanced Billing Clarity

We've improved billing visibility to provide clarity and reduce unnecessary inquiries.

      • What's New: Your Invoicing Method is now displayed in a new, non-editable field on the Finance > Settings > General screen, appearing directly below the Funder Type section.

      • Now, you can instantly confirm how your organization is invoiced, which streamlines internal processes and minimizes the need for support calls.

These updates are all about putting power and clarity back into your financial operations. Go check them out!
