impact.com/performance November 2024 Release: Email workflows, enhanced partner profiles, streamlined deal configuration, and more
New Email Workflows for automated partner communications
Effortlessly engage partners with our new Workflows feature, which automates partner communications through email workflows triggered by custom-defined segment conditions—enabling brands to communicate efficiently and strategically.
With this feature, you can choose from a variety of workflow templates that include pre-configured segment conditions and example email copy, or you can create entirely custom email workflows.
Templates simplify the setup and cover common outreach needs, such as:
Send email invitations to partners when they’re added to Prospects, with the option for automatic acceptance upon signup. (Follow-up email templates will be available starting November 12th.)
Welcoming newly joined partners
Recognizing partners for their first generated action or high revenue milestones within set periods
Re-engaging partners who have shown low performance
If you are looking to streamline your workflow, “Chained” or connected workflows are also available within Prospecting and Performance templates. These workflows offer predefined conditions and email copy, which brands can further personalize.
The Email Workflows feature empowers you to take control of your communication strategy, ensuring effective, automated outreach to partners. You can learn more about Creating & Managing Email Workflows and find a detailed explanation of Partner Segments for Email Workflows.
*Note: We recommend using a template as a starting point for most workflows, as they cover a wide range of common use cases. However, you can create custom workflows if you need more tailored segment conditions or messaging.
When creating a new custom email workflow, you can configure it to manage recruitment tasks such as welcoming new partners, assessing performance, or sending initial invitations to prospects. Follow-up email functionality will be available starting November 12th.
New Unified Slideout on Applications Page
Our new slideout on the Applications page streamlines your decision-making process with richer insights and enhanced functionality.
Here’s what's changing:
Enriched Profiles: Deeper insights at a glance. Gain deeper insights into your partners by learning who they are, how they perform, and reviewing examples of their recent content. You'll also have access to high-level engagement metrics and details on their connected properties.
Custom Fields: Unlock richer information with Surveys. You can now access survey data directly within the Applications slideout through the new Custom Fields tab. Whether you’re gathering insights from prospects, existing partners, or through application processes, the survey data is seamlessly integrated, providing tailored insights right where you need them. Find more information on custom fields in this help document.
Not using surveys yet? Now’s the perfect time to start! Surveys help you gather valuable information about your partners and prospects. Customize the data that matters most to your brand and make more informed decisions with richer insights.
Streamlined messaging experience. The Messages tab has been relocated to a new, more accessible section at the top left of the slideout.
Create Deals more easily
As any 90s movie character with a fancy suit and brick-sized cell phone will tell you, making a deal can be hard. But if you’re looking to create a Deal in the impact.com platform, well, that’s never been easier. You just go to Content > Deals > Create Deal. Previously, that would land you on a page where you could adjust all sorts of things, including, most notably, the Deal Type.
With this release, we’re changing things up a bit. When you click “Create Deal”, you’ll now see a drop-down menu that prompts you to choose a deal type. Once you do, you can create a deal of that type.
Why the change? First, it makes the page a lot simpler, since you don’t have to scroll through settings for all deal types at once. And second, the new flow means you can’t change the deal type after a given deal has been sent to your partners. If you want a new deal, you’ve got to create one (or elect FDR).
Finance Document Settings are now more configurable.
Previously, there was one screen to configure all finance document settings. However, upon review, we found that sometimes brands wanted different settings for their various documents.
So with this release, you now have separate screens to update your impact.com fee documents and your partner fee documents settings, accessible from the Billing Groups screen. In addition, if you fund using Payment Request Forms, you have a new screen to update your Funding Account document settings, accessible from the Funding Account screen.
For more information on these new screens, please take a look at our help documentation for managing impact.com fees document settings, managing partner fees document settings, and managing funding account document settings.
