impact.com April Release: Get your funds sooner with Lightning Pay and more!
Get your funds early—Introducing Lightning Pay Beta
It's no secret that you often have to wait a long time between when an action locks and when you actually receive your hard-earned commissions.
Want to get your funds sooner? Now you can! Our new beta feature, Lightning Pay, allows you to receive advance payments for actions that are locked but not yet paid.
If you have an eligible payment due from a brand, a banner will appear at the top of your dashboard letting you know that you qualify. Simply click on the banner and follow the steps to receive the payment ahead of the due date. For more information, please check out our documentation.
Note: Lightning Pay (beta) is currently available to select US publishers who are paid in USD.
Extension improvements: What’s new in impact.com for Chrome
We’ll be updating our Chrome extension soon to add several much-requested quality-of-life improvements. These changes should be live within a couple of days:
Add media property: We've added a field for you to assign a media property parameter to a link as you're creating it.
Add favorites for programs and media properties: If a brand has several programs, but you usually want to create links for just one of them, you can now “star” that program in the list to set it as you favorite for that domain. Now you don’t have to select it from the drop down each time.
Dark mode: Is that light background with dark text too harsh on your eyes? Looking for something a little more dark, brooding, and/or mysterious? Well, look no further, because dark mode is here. You can turn it on, off, or set it to change based on your system default.
Connect links to campaigns and tasks: If you're a creator working with brands on specific campaigns, you can now select the campaign and/or task that your link relates to. It's just a couple extra clicks on the front end, and it will save you from having to keep track of that later!
Oh! One more thing. If you read that note and said, “Huh? What Chrome extension?” then I would be remiss not to tell you: this Chrome Extension. If you ever create tracking links so that you can promote brands and get paid for driving conversions (and if you’re reading this then you probably do), our Chrome extension is a great way to grab those links while you browse, without even switching tabs. It’ll save you a bunch of time and we’re constantly working to make it better. Check it out!
To do: read about the latest changes to the To-Do List widget
Snooze your to-dos: Is there a task in your To-Do list widget that you can’t get to right now? But does its constant presence on your dashboard make it hard to focus on the other things you actually want to be doing right now? Good news — now you can dismiss to-do list items and get a bit of peace…until they pop back up in one week, that is.
See upcoming contract changes: We want to make sure you’re aware of any upcoming changes to your contracts, so we’re now surfacing those for you in the To-Do List.
View all: When there’s a lot going on (when is there not, am I right?), the ol’ To-Do List Widget can really start to grow. So we are now capping it at 6 items. If you want to view all the To-Dos, you can click — you guessed it — “View All”.
There, you did it — check that one off your list. Oh, and if you don’t see the To-Do List, you’ll see it soon, because…
Heads up! We’re rolling out our new dashboard to everyone
A little while back, we rolled out a new version of our platform dashboard to some — but not all — users. We’re just about ready to complete the process and give everyone access to the new version. Keep an eye out, and check out this help article if you have any questions.
The ITP Marketplace badge is going away soon
impact.com verifies that each program’s tracking implementation meets a minimum standard to comply with browser restrictions that limit the use of 3rd party cookies, such as Apple’s ITP. Thanks to these standards, nearly all programs on impact.com have first-party cookie-based tracking or better.
Since 99.8% of brands on impact.com today are ITP compliant, the badge has lost some relevance. Therefore, we plan to remove the badge in our next release.
The Contract API endpoint now contains Scheduled Terms
Version 15 of Contract API now includes Scheduled Terms. To test out the change, add --header 'IR-Version:15' or query string param IR-Version=15 or upgrade to the latest version: 15
