impact.com February release: New Chrome extension, usability improvements, and more!

We've got a lot of updates this month for publishers and creators who work with brands on the impact.com platform. Read on for all the juicy details!

Save time by creating links on the fly with our new Chrome extension

If you want to make money with affiliate and partnership programs, you need tracking links. But when you’re browsing the web and find the perfect product to promote, it can be a hassle to switch contexts, log into the impact.com platform, and grab a tracking link for that specific brand.

We built the impact.com Chrome extension to make that process quicker and easier. With impact.com for Chrome, all you need to do is open the extension and generate a link — without logging into anything else or even leaving your tab. You can even personalize the links and add custom fields for advanced tracking.

Get clearer visibility to promo codes and categories included in exception lists with .csv downloads

You can now download promo code and SKU lists from your contracts via .csv, making it easier to understand exactly what is included. In addition, you can now view promo code lists directly in the platform.

We’ve added a “Deal” column to the Assets page list view, which will make it easier to see when a given asset (such as a banner or text link) has a deal associated with it. And if you click on that deal, a slideout will…er… slide out, with all the details and a shortcut to copy that link.


Find the resources you need more easily

When you’re looking for a specific resource, filtering and sorting can be helpful, but they don’t always get you all the way there. We have added a search bar on the Resources page, so you can find exactly what you need more quickly.

Introducing the new impact.com/creator v2.0!

We’re excited to introduce impact.com/creator v2.0, packed with new features designed to make your experience more seamless and efficient. Whether you’re looking to manage tasks on the go, improve collaboration with brands, or discover new opportunities, this update has you covered. Here’s what’s new:

Enhanced Media Kits & Additional Links (coming soon) 

You’ll soon be able to give brands more visibility into your media kits and additional links. Media kits and additional links will be added to your Creator Slideout, which a brand can view in the Discover Marketplace, your applications, or in their prospecting queue. By uploading multiple media kits (PDFs) and adding up to three additional links you'll have more opportunities to showcase your work, reach, rates, and expertise to potential brands. If your media kit is hosted online, you can easily add it via Additional Links with a title. These options can be found under Settings > Public Profile.

Additionally, the storage limit for media kits will be increased from 5 MB to 200 MB, allowing you to upload more detailed, high-quality content. These enhancements make it easier for you to present yourself in the best light, offering more ways to connect with brands.

Creator-defined tasks (coming soon) 

Now, you have the ability to shape the tasks assigned to you based on your unique strengths and preferences. With the new Creator Defines feature, you can propose tasks that align more closely with your expertise, giving you the confidence to apply for campaigns where your skills truly shine. No longer will you feel limited by tasks that don't match your strengths—you can showcase your creativity right from the start.

When you apply or accept an invite, you’ll be able to propose tasks during the negotiation process that highlight what you do best. Simply add at least one task to demonstrate how you can contribute to the campaign.

  • Shape Your Task List: Apply to campaigns that allow you to tailor the tasks to your expertise, showcasing your unique skills.

  • Confidence in Negotiation: By proposing tasks that match your strengths, you ensure you're aligned with the brand’s needs while highlighting your best work.

This new option empowers you to apply with confidence and work on campaigns where your creativity can truly stand out.

Manage tasks directly from the Mobile App

You can now view and manage all of your tasks directly from the mobile app, providing greater flexibility to stay on top of your work while on the go. Whether you’re at home, in the car, or traveling, you’ll never miss a deadline again. This feature helps you keep organized and efficiently manage tasks without needing to be at your computer.

Improved feedback on rejections

When a task or application is rejected, you’ll now receive more detailed feedback on the reasons behind the rejection. Whether it’s a content mismatch or engagement issues, this information will help you identify areas for improvement. By understanding why you weren’t selected, you can adjust and improve for future opportunities, turning rejections into learning moments.

Increased file upload limits

We know you need to submit high-quality content, and that’s why we’ve increased the file upload limit for task drafts and deliverables from 128 MB to 350 MB. This allows you to submit larger, high-resolution files, which can be especially helpful for sharing images, videos, and other rich media. This update speeds up the process of content submission and helps brands receive the best versions of your work.

Easier tracking link creation

We’ve simplified the process of generating tracking links with our enhanced tracking link generator. When selecting a brand with active campaigns, you’ll now be prompted to choose the specific campaign and task you’re working on, ensuring you’re always using the correct links. This will eliminate confusion, streamline your work process, and help ensure accurate tracking.
