What's new for April 2025: Trackonomics release notes

It’s now easier than ever to generate Amazon Tags

We have redesigned the process for creating new Amazon tags in our extension and syncing them with Trackonomics. In addition to the new user experience, we have added some extra logic and safety mechanisms to reduce the likelihood of encountering errors. Give it a try and let us know what you think!

See product category for Amazon SKUs

Just like the headline says — we are now pulling in product category information for Amazon sales data. Use the new data to make your SKU-level performance reporting even more useful.

Widgets now ignore irrelevant filters

Let’s say you have a widget that includes clicks, impressions, and orders, and you set a filter to show only approved orders. Clicks and impressions can’t be “approved” so they would normally have disappeared from your widget, thanks to the filter. That’s logical, but not ideal. So we did some work on the underlying logic. Now if you set a filter, it will only show or hide the data that’s actually relevant to that filter.

It’s now easier to tell when filters have been applied

Ever look at the data in a widget and think, “wait, that can’t be right”? Chances are, that widget had a filter applied, which meant it was showing only a subset of data compared to the rest of the page. Now when a filter has been applied, you’ll see “(Filtered)” in the widget’s title, and the icons at the top right will change color based on what kind of filter has been applied.

It’s also now easier to tell when page-level data is present

In the same vein, we also wanted to make it easier to tell when a given widget includes page-level data, so we’ve added a little message at the top of those widgets. If a widget includes page-level data, that means it’s been enriched with your own website’s data, powered by the FunnelRelay script — for an extra layer of detail on top of the data sourced from the network.

Take a load off your fingers — you can stop re-typing the same subID for each link

If you’re using the Link Generator extension to create a lot of links (which is what it’s for, after all), you may find yourself continually adding the same subID. We have added a checkbox that lets you persist the same subID parameter when you create a new link, so you don’t need to type it again each time.

Remove all dimensions from a chart with a click

Previously, if you wanted to clear all the dimensions from a chart, you had to remove them each one-by-one. We have added a “None” button, so you can now clear ‘em all with a click and then add back in the specific dimensions you want.

Monthly targets now update in real time

When you adjust your monthly goals, there are some background processes that have to sync everything up. This used to take a little while, but we rejiggered some whatsits (if you’ll the technical language) and now you’ll see the new goals appear in real time.

You can now delete Amazon tags

Previously you could remove the page/tag relationship, but not delete the tag. Now you can do either (or both!). Note, though, that deleting the tag in Trackonomics does not delete the tag on the Amazon side — it just keeps things in Trackonomics nice and tidy.

Updated minimum password requirements

The password requirements for our Link Generator extension were more stringent than the default password requirements for the Trackonomics platform. As a result, some users were having problems logging into the extension, even though their passwords were valid for app.trackonomics.net. We have updated the platform’s password requirements to be in line with the extension’s more up-to-date requirements.

New & Updated integrations

  • Kelkoo: We adjusted this integration to account for some changes on the network side and it now once again working properly.

  • Odyssey: We taught LinkScanner to detect Odyssey links. It is very proud of this new skill.

  • Howl: Howl made some changes that broke our integration; we’ve been working with them to restore service, and it once again works properly.
